Questions to Thai people only?

I have heard some awful stories about Thailand from close relatives and friends, especially ones about "sex tourism". Unfortunately everytime someone mentions Thailand, prostitution comes to one's mind. Sure it exists everywhere, but over the years the country has become somewhat of a worldwide destination for human trafficking. My question for thai people is how can they tolerate what is happening to their country? I know that there's lots pf poverty, and I hate the thai royal family for being silent while their countrymen get raped and abused by ugly and disgusting old perverted foreigners.
