Cell phone or ps vita?

I want both and can only afford one. If i got a phone i could text and play games. If i got the vita i could play BETTER games, but i couldn't get the 3g version of the vita. Also i have the money for a phone now, but not yet the vita. If i went with a phone i would get a lg optimus v from Virgin mobile or the Samsung intercept. Help? Thoughts? Ideas?
